Mercury Prize Nominations - My Take.

Florence and the Machine – Lungs
I don’t really like her to be honest. I’m not so fond of her music and her personality just puts me off. If she were to win though, I wouldn’t be completely disappointed. I can dislike her and still recognize that she’s done well for herself this year. Surely that deserves to be awarded.

Kasabian – West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum
I really like these guys. The one with the long hair, the singer, I can’t remember his name but i think he’s such a stud. I prefer this record to the last one and that was quite ok in it’s own right. I posted a song by them earlier, you should go listen to it.

Bat for Lashes – Two Suns
I want her to win so bad you guys. I can’t even control my love for her anymore, it just comes spilling out. Natasha Khan is so amazing I don’t understand why the world isn’t in awe of her beauty, her talent her everything yet. She has to win or my faith in these music critics of ours will be totally lost.

La Roux – La Roux
My mom once told me If I can’t say anything nice, I shouldn’t say anything at all.

Glasvegas – Glasvegas
Their whole album sounds the same. It’s so pathetic. The lead singer thinks he’s such a tough guy. They should just stop. I did like that ‘Daddy’s Gone’ single though.

Speech Debelle – Speech Therapy
Don’t know who this is. I should get myself informed.

Friendly Fires – Friendly Fires
My boys! If you know me you’ll know that i’m unbelievably in love with Ed, Edd and Jack. Between them and Natasha, I don’t really mind who wins.

The Horrors – Primary Colours
They’re brilliant aren’t they? Yes. I don’t think they’re quite there yet, maybe next year.

Lisa Hannigan – Sea Sew
